Pink Wednesday!!! Mark - Fuschia-istic

Hi fellow nail polish lovers!!!  Happy Pink Wednesday!!  I hope you're having a wonderful week ;0).

For this pink Wednesday, I decided to go with Mark by Avon's Fuschia-istic.  It is a polish that came as a part of a set of two mini lacquers.  The other was Stay Neutral.

This color is a deep pink, purplish creme polish, hence the name fuschia-istic.  I really like this color a lot.  It's a combo of my two favorite polish colors.

I've used this polish in the past and don't remember the formula being so thick.  It was a bit challenging applying the polish because of how thick it was.  Other than that though, I do like the formula.  It went on pretty smoothly and is opaque, so with two coats I got great coverage.

I decided to try polka dots on my accent nail since it's one of my favorite designs.  I used China Glaze's Exceptionally Gifted and NYC's Prospect Park Pink for the dots.  I like the way it came out. 

For this mani, I used Sally Hansen Double Duty Strengthening Base & Top Coat for the base coat, two coats of polish, and Seche Vite fast dry top coat.

1. I have a SERIOUS sweet tooth!  I will eat have of my entree in a restaurant and pack the rest, to make room for dessert.  I'm not kidding!

2. Of all sweet things, ice cream is my absolute favorite!  I eat ice cream almost every day, smh.

3. I love to dance!  I take jazz dance classes every week, not to perform, but just to learn more about the art.

4. I love music.  I listen to Christian music, but any style: gospel, contemporary, traditional, rock, anything...

5. I watch way too much TV.  Darn DVR!!  I look at anything from drama, to comedy, to reality shows.

6. I love to read and I'm trying to get back into the habit of doing it every day.  I've been slackin'

7. Summer is my favorite season.  I absolutely hate the cold weather, snow included.

Kleancolor - Sparkle Emerald

Hi fellow nail polish lovers!!  Today is a month since I've started my blog and I can't believe it!  Thanks to all of you who are following, I'm so grateful for you all!

I wanted to share a glitter with you today from Kleancolor, Sparkle Emerald.  It is a clear base with mostly green microglitter and some gold microglitter as well.  It goes on very evenly and is not too chunky which makes removal very easy.

I love the shade of green of this glitter.  It's a very light green, not sure what you would call it.  You be the judge:

Sonia Kashuk - Fatigued

Hi fellow nail polish lovers!!  It's Monday again, so back to work for me.  I hope you had a wonderful holiday weekend!

Today, I'd like to share a polish by Sonia Kashuk.  Her polishes can be found in Target and costs somewhere between $3-$4. 

This polish is one that I was eyeing for several weeks when I was trying not to make any nail polish purchases.  After two weeks, I gave in.  The name is Fatigued and it's an army green.  I love this color!!!  Green is not one of my favorite colors, but I love this shade.  The polish has the faintest bit of silver shimmer in it.

The formula  of this creme polish is quite good.  It went on effortlessly and is quite opaque.  I used two coats for this manicure.  For the base coat, I used Sally Hansen Hard as Nails and for the top coat, Seche Vite.

Avon - Vivid Violet

Hi everyone!!  Happy Sunday ;0)

Today, I wanted to share with you one of my favorite polishes from Avon. It's called Vivid Violet from their Nailwear Pro line.  Purple is one of my favorite nail polish colors and this one is gorgeous.  It's a beautiful violet with violet shimmer.  It's hard to see the shimmer in my pictures, but they're there, trust me ;0).

The polish goes on very smoothly, but it is sheer.  I used 3 coats to not have any VNL.

Artificial light -  I layered the ring finger over black polish.  It looks just a little darker.

Sinful Colors - Savage

Hi everyone!!  Happy Saturday!

Today, I'm sharing a swatch of Savage by Sinful Colors.  This is a beautiful turquoise, almost teal polish that I just had to have when I saw it.  I believe it was my second Sinful Colors purchase.  

The polish is thinner than I expected and went on a bit streaky.  It also turned out to be a matte polish, which I didn't expect.  I'm not a fan of matte.  I know a lot of you polish lovers like it, but I don't.  I need my polish to be glossy. 

Regardless of the finish, the polish is still very pretty.  For this swatch, I did two coats of Savage:

Rimmel - Rags to Riches

Hi everyone!  Happy Friday!! For those of you shopping, I hope you get some great goodies ;0).  I will be staying in and taking advantage of the great online deals.  I don't like too many crowds when shopping.

I recently picked up a polish from Rimmel called Rags to Riches.  I have nothing else like it in my stash, so I decided to get it.  Also, I wanted to branch out from my normal pinks, purples, reds, and neutrals.  I'm so happy that I picked this up.  I think it's gorgeous!  It's a metallic olive green with gold shimmer in it.  So pretty. 

I had no problems with the formula.  Applying the polish was very easy, especially with Rimmel's wide brush.  It was pretty opaque in one coat.  I used two for this swatch.

Sinful Colors - Courtney Orange

Hi everyone!!! Happy Thanksgiving!!

Today, I'm thankful for my wonderful family, friends, and loved ones.  I'm truly grateful to have them all in my life.  I look forward to spending time with them and eating some good food ;0).  I'm also thankful for all of you who read my blog.  I love reading all of your comments and getting your advice.  Thanks for supporting my addiction, lol. 

I hope you're all thankful today too!

Today, I wanted to go with an orange color because it reminds me of pumpkins and on Thanskgiving, pumpkin pie is usually a dessert.  I personally don't eat pumpkin pie, but I figured it worked. 

I decided to try Courtney Orange from Sinful Colors for the first time.  I've had it for about a month now and haven't gotten the opportunity to try it out.  Courtney Orange is a beautiful burnt orange:

The formula is good, but thin.  I used 3 coats and I was still able to see VNL.  It's probably best to layer this polish to avoid that problem.  Besides that, application was very easy.

I really, really like this polish!  I love the color.  And it's so nice and glossy.  The pics above are without a top coat.

I decided to add one of my favorite glitters to this mani, Sinful Colors Opal Glitter.

For my base coat I used Sally Hansen Double Duty Strengthening Base & Top Coat and I used Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat to finish it off.

I have to say I'm very happy with this polish.  It's my first time using Sinful Colors as a base for my mani, I've only tried their glitters in the past.

Pink Wednesday!!! NYC - Prospect Park Pink

Hi everyone!!! Happy Pink Wedesday!  I can't believe Thanksgiving is tomorrow already.  I hope you all have great plans.

This Wednesday, I'm sharing a polish by NYC, Prospect Park Pink.  This polish is from NYC's Quick Dry line (NYC In a Minute).  When I saw this polish, I just had to pick it up because it was such a pretty shade of pink.  Not only was it pretty, it was also $1.99 ;0). 

The polish actuallly turned out to be a bit brighter on my nails than in the bottle, but I still really like it.  It has pink shimmer in it.

Isn't it pretty?  I don't even know how to describe the color.  But I love that it's not too bright, but at the same time it's not a dull pink at all. 

The formula was okay.  It went on a bit streaky, but with a second coat it was opaque and didn't look streaky anymore.  You do end up seeing some brush strokes though.

I then tried out a gradient design on my accent nail, which was a fail.  But I'll keep practicing ;0).

Avon - Red Wine

Hi again fellow nail polish lovers!!

Today, I'm sharing one of Avon's Speed Dry polishes, Red Wine.  It is a gorgeous deep red that I am in love with.  I just love red polishes ;0).  In the bottle it actually looks more burgundy, but not on the nail.  I also love that the polish dries pretty quickly.

The formula is excellent for this polish.  It goes on so smoothly.  I used 3 coats for this swatch just because I thought it looked better with 3.

Sally Hansen - Innocent Nude

Hi fellow nail polish lovers!!! Happy Monday!  Hope yours is going well so far.

Today, I wanted to share with you a Sally Hansen polish from their Nailgrowth Miracle Line.  It's called Innocent Nude.  I picked up this color because I didn't have anything like it.  I wanted a really nice cream colored polish.  Unfortunately, like the name, the polish is nude.  Duh!!! That should've been a clue right, smh.  Anyway, I think it's a polish that would be great for a french manicure or a base for a design where you do don't want too much color.

The formula was great.  It went on nice and smoothly, not streaky at all.  Also, I love the brush for this polish.  It's a wide brush and application was very easy.  It reminds me of the brush from Rimmel polishes.  This is the only polish I picked up from this line, but I want to see if I can get some others.

Brucci - Alexandra's "Hot" Gray

Hi fellow nailpolish lovers!!  I hope you're having a great weekend!

Today I want to share one of my favorite gray nail polishes by Brucci.  It's a creme, light gray polish, not too dark.  I just love the way it looks on me ;0).  The polish goes on a bit streaky, but with a second coat, it's PERFECT.

I used Sally Hansen Hard as Nails as a base coat, 2 coats of the polish, and Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat for this mani.
