Brucci - Black Emerald

Hi everyone!!

I have a stunning Brucci polish to share with you today that I've had in my untrieds for too long!!  Black Emerald is a dark green/black base packed with green shimmer.  It literally glows.

Black Emerald's formula is good.  It was slightly patchy on the first coat, but leveled out nicely with the second one.  Here I used two coats with Underground Nails Quickie Dry Top Coat.

I then added an accent doing a gradient with China Glaze Electric Beat and Super Saturday Teal.  I then added stripes with a silver striper brush.  I topped it off with Underground Nails Quickie Dry Top Coat.

Artificial Light
I love a good teal, so I love this polish!  It's really pretty.

What do you guys think of Super Saturday Teal?  Do you like wearing teal on your nails?

Orly - Lucky Duck

Hi fellow nail polish lovers!!

I have a gorgeous green from Orly to share with you today, Lucky Duck.

I picked up Lucky Duck some time in 2012, after having it on my wish list for a while, from Beauty 35 in Manhattan.  Of course, I'm only now trying it.  Smh!

Lucky Duck is from the Fall 2011 Birds of a Feather collection.  It's a jade green creme.  The formula was good.  The first coat was a bit streaky, but it leveled out nicely with the second coat.  I used Rejuvacote as a base and Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat.

Artificial Light

For my accent nail, I added two coats of NYX Moonwalk.  It's a mixture of silver glitter in a sheer black base.

Did you guys ever pick up Lucky Duck?  Do you like greens like this on your nail?

Catrice - Purple Reign

Hi fellow nail polish lovers!!

I have another Catrice polish to share with you, Purple Reign.  I got this polish from Rocio in a swap.  She lives in Spain.

Purple Reign, is a lovely purple with blue and purple microshimmer.  It's so much prettier in person.  The formula was good and opaque in two coats.  Here I used Rejuvacote, two coats of Purple Reign and Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat.

Artificial Light
This polish is really a beauty!  It's a lovely shade of purple and the shimmer in it is just gorgeous.  I was a bit disappointed though because the second day I was wearing this, the polish got a bit dull.  I tried adding clear polish to see if it would bring out the shimmer once again, but it didn't work :(.  So while, it was still a beautiful purple to wear, I was longing for the look it had in the bottle.

What do you guys think of Purple Reign?  Have you tried any Catrice polishes?

I then added a double accent with Kleancolor Midnight Seduction, a holo microglitter.  I topped the mani off with Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat.

Artificial Light
I really like dusty shades like Never Glum Plum.  It's a really unique color.  And the combo with Midnight Seduction was really fun.

What do you guys think of Never Glum Plum?  Do you have any Nina Ultra Pro polishes?

Pahlish - February Duo

Hi everyone!!

For this week's Twinsie Tuesday theme, we are to share a polish that was gifted to us.  So, I have two polishes from Pahlish that I received for my birthday from Saira. The Primary Order and The Crucible were a part of their February duo.

The Primary Order is a gray creme base with gold and black microglitter.  Such an awesome combo!  It has a really great formula.  It's opaque in two easy coats and applies without any issues.  Here I used two coats with no top coat.

Artificial Light
The Crucible is a glitter topper.  It has small gold circle glitters and microglitters.  I decided to add The Crucible to my ring and pinky fingers.  I then topped it off with Underground Nails Quick Dry Top Coat.

Artificial Light

Artificial Light
I really like this combo!  To be honest, it's not a combo I would have come up with on my own, but it totally works.

What do you guys think of these polishes?  Do you like them together?

Squeeze Me is a really stunning polish.  I really love the shimmer in it.  It's definitely great for fall or winter, but you guys know by now that I wear whatever polish I feel like wearing, no matter the season.

What do you guys think of Squeeze Me?  Is this your kind of polish?

Essence - I'm The Boss!

Hi everyone!!

Today I have a polish from Essence to share with you.  I'm The Boss! is a polish that was on my wish list and I ended up with three bottles from European swaps I did last year.  It's a gray with microglitter (hard to tell if it's silver or gold).  The first coat was patchy, but after three coats it was even.  It dries much darker than in the bottle, but it's still really nice.

Artificial Light

Artificial Light
Isn't it pretty?!!  I wanted to do an accent nail, so I used Pure Nail Lacquer's Blameless and did a gradient with I'm The Boss!  I then added a coat of Hits Hefesto.  I topped it off with Underground Nails Quickie Dry Top Coat.

Artificial Light

Artificial Light
I really liked the contrast of the accent nail with this mani.  I'm so happy to have I'm The Boss! in my stash.  I have nothing like it.

What do you guys think of I'm The Boss!?  Did you ever get this one?

Essie - St. Lucia Lilac

Hi fellow nail polish lovers!!

Today, I'm sharing Essie's St. Lucia Lilac with you today.  This is an oldie, but definitely a goodie.  I picked it up over a year and a half a go in a set with two minis.  The other polish in the set was Jazz.

St. Lucia Lilac is a lilac creme.  It applies well, but like most pastels, the first coat was streaky.  I used two coats for this mani.  For my accent nail, I added two coats of The Polish Bar Open Sky for a nice contrast.  I topped the mani off with Underground Nails Quick Dry Top Coat.

Artificial Light

Artificial Light
I love a good pastel, so I like St. Lucia Lilac a lot!  The addition of Open Sky was a really nice touch too.

Do you like wearing pastel colors on your nails?  Do you have St. Lucia Lilac in your stash?

Soo - Miracle Touch

Hi everyone!

Today, I have a polish that I picked up at a beauty supply store over a year ago.  I had never seen brand Soo and I wanted to try it out, so I picked up one called Miracle Touch.  It's a lovely taupe creme.

Miracle Touch was a bit thinner than I expected, but it applied well and was opaque in two coats.  I used two coats here with no top coat.

Artificial Light

Artificial Light
While I think Miracle Touch was just fine on its own,  Fantasy Fire was calling out to me.  So I decided to add a coat, then topped it off with Seche Vite.

Artificial Light

Don't they make a pretty combo?  I was really happy with the result.  What do you guys think?  Have you seen or tried this brand before?

Nude With a Bit of Sparkle

Hi fellow nail polish lovers!!

For Twinsie Tuesday, we are supposed to share our favorite glitter topper with you.  You guys know mine already, Pirouette My Whistle.  And you know that because I've shared it on the blog several times (just click here to see the many times).  So, I'm going to cheat this week and share a glitter that reminded me a bit of Pirouette My Whistle when I wore it recently, Serum No. 5 Barely There.

On my index and middle fingers I'm wearing Zoya Kennedy, a beige creme from the Feel Collection. It was slightly streaky on the first coat, but was fully opaque in two coats.

I'm wearing Serum No. 5's Barely There on my ring and pinky fingers.  It's a nude crelly with silver hex and microglitter.  It's opaque in two easy coats.

Artificial Light

Artificial Light
I know Barely There isn't really a topper since it can be worn on its own, but I just love that it looks like I'm actually wearing a glitter over my polish.

These two polishes go so well together.  I love the classic look of Kennedy with the sparkle from Barely There.  They're both really pretty polishes.

What do you guys think of these two polishes?  Do you like wearing nude polishes?  What is your favorite glitter topper?

Zoya nail polishes may be purchased online here.
Serum No. 5 polishes may be purchased online here.

Artificial Light

I decided to add two layers of NYC's Starry Silver Glitter over Pistache for a nice contrast.  It contains silver microglitter and purple and blue hex glitter in a clear base.  I then topped it off with Seche Vite.

I really loved how this combination turned out.  These are both really fun polishes!
