POP Beauty - Baby Blue

Hey nail polish lovers!!   Happy Sunday!!

Today, I wanted to share with you a polish I purchased from Harlow & Co. on black Friday.  Yes, I know, another black Friday nail polish purchase.  I had to take advantage of the sales maaan!!  LOL

Anyhoo, I purchased my first Nubar and three POP polishes, one of them being Baby Blue.  As I've shared in the past, I love pastel colors, and I was hoping that this one would impress me.  While I'm in love with this color, I don't like it on me and I definitely don't like the formula.  It is like many pastels, very chalky.  Application was a pain.  It went on very streaky.  The polish was opaque in two coats, but I had to try and level it out with the brush to prevent some of the balding that occurred. 

I didn't really like the way the polish looked on my skin tone, so I asked my husband for a second opinion.  His response: "It looks like chalk!"  That was confirmation that it was not for me.  So, I'll be trying it for water marbling, since I do think it's a great color.  Hopefully, that'll work well.

In these pics, I used Sally Hansen Double Duty Strengthening Base & Top Coat as a base, two coats of Baby Blue, and Seche Vite fast dry top coat.

I'm looking forward to trying the other colors I purchased.  I'm hoping the formula will be different since they aren't pastels.  Keep an eye out for them.  I'll be sharing them soon.
