Revlon - French Roast

Hi fellow nail polish lovers!!

Today, I have a gorgeous chocolate brown with holographic shimmer from Revlon to share with you.

French Roast is from Revlon's Colorstay line and it has a great formula!  It applied really well and was opaque in two coats.  I just love the sparkle of the shimmer in this polish.  I used no base or top coat for these swatches.

Indie Sunday - Dollish Polish Spam

Hi everyone!!

Today, I have some spam from Dollish Polish to share with you!

Totes Magotes!

Artificial Light

Artificial Light

Artificial Light

Artificial Light
Totes Magotes is a Limited Edition polish.  It's a pretty mint green holo with a frosty finish.  I was surprised at the finish because I assumed it was a creme with holo particles.  The first coat was pretty sure.  The polish required three coats for full opacity.  It did apply well though.  In the first two pictures I used no top coat and in the last two pictures I added Seche Vite top coat and two holo studs that I got from Serum No. 5.

Penny... Penny... Penny

Artificial Light (Light Box)
Penny...Penny...Penny is a peach crelly base with copper glitter.  It's slightly thick, but applies well and is opaque in two coats.  Here I used Rejuvacote as a base, two coats of Penny...Penny...Penny and Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat.  I love the combination of this polish.

Anybody Want A Peanut?

Artificial Light

Artificial Light

Artificial Light
Anybody Want A Peanut? is a beige crelly with gold, copper and brown glitters.  It has a great formula and applies flawlessly.  It is a bit sheer though, so it required three coats for full opacity.  Here I used Rejuvacote as a base, three coats of Anybody Want A Peanut? and Underground Nails Quick Dry Top Coat.  I really love the uniqueness of this polish.

Expecto Patronum

Artificial Light

Artificial Light

Artificial Light
Expecto Patronum is a white crelly base with teal glitters and shimmer.  It's one of the first white based indies I fell in love with and I'm so happy I finally got my hands on it.  It has a good formula and is opaque in two coats.  Here I used Rejuvacote as a base, two coats of Expecto Patronum and Underground Nails Quick Dry Top Coat.

Purple Rain

Artificial Light

Artificial Light

Artificial Light
Purple Rain is a lavender creme with a mixture of small purple glitters.  It's really pretty!  It applied really well and was opaque in two coats.  I used no top coat.

Murky Dismal

Artificial Light

Artificial Light

Artificial Light
Murky Dismal is a mint green jelly with black and white glitter.  It's a really fun combination.  It requires three coats for full opacity, but you have to wait between coats as the dry time is slow.  Here I used three coats with no base or top coat.

I really love these polishes a lot!  Dollish Polish always has fun and unique combinations.

You may purchase Dollish Polish purchases online at their website here.  They're ask sold at llarowe.com, where I got a few of these.

Me Me Me - Relentless

Hi fellow nail polish lovers!!

Today I have a polish to share with you from a brand called Me Me Me.  I got it in a swap, but I can't remember from who.  I think it may have been Esther.  Anyhoo, Relentless is an eggplant creme with a great formula.  It applies like butter and only requires two coats.  Here I used no base or top coat.

I really love this polish!  It's so rich and creamy.  It's a really nice shade.  This is the only polish from this brand I've tried and I'm really happy with it.

What do you guys think of Relentless?  Have you ever tried any polishes from this brand?

Lush Lacquer - Monster Mash and Blue Gypsy

Hi everyone!!

I have two polishes from Lush Lacquer (now Polish Me Silly) that I ordered a while ago to share with you today.

Monster Mash

Artificial Light

Artificial Light
Monster Mash is a white crelly base with neon pink, blue, and purple glitters of varying sizes.  It applied really well and provided great coverage with each coat.  Here I used three coats with no base or top coat.

Blue Gypsy

Artificial Light

Artificial Light

Artificial Light
Blue Gypsy is a blue creme with small blue, purple and orange (I think) glitter.  It also has larger circle and star glitters, but the formula was really thick and the glitters settled, so I was unable to get the larger glitters on the nail.  Here I used two coats with no top coat.

I was disappointed in the formula of Blue Gypsy.  While it looked nice on the nail, I couldn't get the larger glitters and it was way too thick.  I really like Monster Mash though.

What do you guys think of these two polishes?  Have you tried any of them?

He Picks My Polish

Hi fellow nail polish lovers!!

I recently joined a group called "He Picks My Polish."  The members of the group have their significant other choose two or more polishes and have to create a look with them.  Here are the two polishes my husband chose.

Catherine Arley 673 and Tapping Tips Pink Frost
Now, I have to admit that when he gave me the two colors, I was disappointed.  I even tried to sway him by being dramatic: "Really?  These two colors?"  He just said "Yep."

Anyhoo, I was able to come up with a look that worked.

Artificial Light

Artificial Light
I simply freehanded Pink Frost over 673.  On my ring finger, I then added another coat of 673 at the tip.  I topped the mani off with Nubar Diamont.

What do you guys think of this look?  Have you ever had your boyfriend or husband pick your polish?

Hi fellow nail polish lovers!!

For this week's Twinsie Tuesday theme, we are to share a winter to spring transitional polish.  So today, I have a Catrice polish that I got in a swap from Rocio.  Lilactric is a lilac shimmer with a pearl finish.  It has a good formula and is opaque in two easy coats.  Here, I used two coats with Rejuvacote as a base and Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat.

This is a really simple, but pretty polish.  It was on my wish list for quite some time and I wasn't disappointed with it at all.  I think it's perfect for any season and it's definitely spring-like.

What do you guys think of Lilactric?  What types of polishes do you wear during the spring?

Kiss Gradation Polishes - Gold

Hi fellow nail polish lovers!!

Today, I have a gold gradient manicure to share with you that I created using a kit from Kiss Cosmetics called Gradation Polishes.

The kit comes with three polishes and instructions, so even if you feel that you aren't good at nail art, this makes it really easy.

Step 1: Apply two coats of Step 1 polish, let it dry.

Step 2: Apply one coat of Step 2 polish on tip of nail only; approximately 1/3 of nail.

Step 3: Before Step 2 polish is dry, apply one coat of Step 3 polish on top 1/2 of nail to blend colors.  Let it dry completely.

This kit makes it really simple to do a gradient manicure.  It turns out really pretty too.  I love these polishes together!  My only suggestion would be to make sure you let the polish dry before adding top coat.  Because of the amount of layers at the tip of the nail, it takes longer to dry.  So when you add top coat, it may cause some dragging if you don't wait long enough.

Kiss Cosmetics may be purchased in most drug stores.  You can also visit their website here.

Indie Sunday - Black Luna Lacquer

Hi fellow nail polish lovers!!

For Indie Sunday, meet Liz of Black Luna Lacquer!

When did your love for polish begin?
I've always loved to do my own nails. I was never been able to find a nail tech that would do them as I liked. So, I started to collect polish, trying something new every week.

What made you decide to start your own polish line?
I love to create things, to make from scratch and built. I came across several indies that I fell in love with immediately. I did a bit of research and found it rather easy to make my own concoction :) , so I did.

Why Black Luna Lacquer?
Luna is my cat's name. And she's all black. Luna is also Spanish for Moon, so I really liked the contradiction the two words created.

What's the inspiration behind the colors you create?
My inspiration comes from everywhere. A movie, a song, seasons, all over.

How many polishes do you have in your stash?
Wow, I think it's deff in the hundreds but below 1000 (Hi. My name is Liz and i am an addict. AND I LOVE IT!)

What is your favorite polish brand? (Besides your own, of course)
My favorite.... Liquid Sky, Polish Addict, Lacquer Lust and Pure. (To name a few)

How can customers follow you on social media?
We can be found on facebook and Instagram, just add /blacklunalacqur to your link and voila.
I loved learning more about Liz!  Her polishes are so amazing.  Here are some of my favorites:

Black Luna Lacquer - White Noise

Black Luna Lacquer - Rapunz'l

Black Luna Lacquer - Jaded
Aren't they gorgeous?  And these are just a few.  Liz comes out with new polishes very often and they're always pretty and unique.  You can check out her store here.

Have you tried any polishes from this brand yet?
