Hi everybody!! Happy Friday!
Today, I have a Confetti polish to share with you. I believe this is the only polish that I own from this brand. Rhapsody in Blue is a frosty blue/green. I picked it because I wanted to give the brand a try and thought it was an interesting color.
The polish applied fairly well. However, as with most frosts, there were a lot of visible brush strokes. I've come to the conclusion that frost is definitely not my favorite finish. Anyway, the color was nice enough and it was opaque in two coats, so I figured I'd work with it.
Here is two coats Rhapsody in Blue with OPI Natural Nail base coat:

Because I couldn't take the brush strokes, I decided to add something to the mani. The easiest thing for me to do was polka dots. So I decided to use
Orly Sapphire Silk for the polka dots. I then added a coat of
Sinful Colors Opal Glitter for a little sparkle. Finally, I topped it off with a coat of Seche Vite fast dry top coat.

What do you guys think of Rhapsody in Blue? Do you like frosts? What do you think of polka dots?
I think it's pretty and I love the dots! I prefer it without the brush strokes though :)
ReplyDeleteThanks!! I totally agree. Pretty, but no brush strokes.
Deleteomg I love that blue and it looks gorgeous on you , I have just acquired some confetti polishes in a swap can't wait to try them
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what you got Joanne!
DeleteVery pretty :)
ReplyDeleteThanks ;0)
DeleteI have this and I actually love it. I found that a third coat decreases the stroke visibility. Maybe give it one more go...?
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip. I'll try it with a third coat.
DeleteLove this color. The dots are a nice touch! Looks so playful :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Traci!!
DeleteIt looks metallic not frosty at all.The nail art is cute too!
ReplyDeleteI used to hate frosts and thought that I would never wear them. But now I've decided that I don't mind brush strokes and there are great polishes in every finish. The polka dots are very cute!
ReplyDeleteThanks Mihaela!!
DeleteThis is a nice colour, though I do find the brush strokes a problem with frosts too. I use three coats (like Amanda) and also find that it reduces them. Loving the polka dots!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Saira! I'm going to try 3 coats the next time and se how that works.
