Hi fellow nail polish lovers!!
I decided to jump on the Valentine's Day mani bandwagon and give a go at some nail art. I saw a technique creating hearts on Rebecca Likes Nails
here and in a YouTube video
here that was pretty simple, even for me to do.
I knew I wanted to do hearts, but not necessarily the same way they did it, so I just started painting and this is what I came up with.
**No base or top coat.** |
Natural Light |
I used
Alexandra's "Hot" Gray as a base and
Nicole by OPI's Believe It, Do It for the hearts.
 |
Natural Light |
I then decided to add
Sinful Colors Opal Glitter to add some sparkle to the mani.

This was a really simple manicure, but I love the way it came out. I actually used the head of a bobby pin, since I don't own any dotting tools (a tip I picked up from YouTube a while ago).
I hope you all like this one! Let me know what you guys think. Are you doing a special manicure for Valentine's day?
LOVE this MariJo! I really like the color combination and the addition of glitter which totally makes it shine! Perfect for V-Day! <3

DeleteThis is such a sweet manicure! :) Love the little hearts. Hehe, we are definitely on the same page. I also did tiny little hearts for a future nail-art tutorial. :) I think your hearts turned out better, though.
ReplyDeleteI find that hard to believe Mary. Thanks though, I'm so glad you like them. Looking forward your tutorial.

DeleteI wish I had thought of this! I love gray and pink (and brown and pink which I tend to do A LOT). Your hearts look great, I took the easy way out but I'll start easing to to nail art more I swear... soon... eventually :o)
ReplyDeleteYours was really cute too! Looking forward to seeing what you try out ;0)
DeleteI love it! You did a great job! And the glitter on top added the perfect amount of sparkle. Beautiful!

DeletePerfect Valentine's Day Mani :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!! So glad you like it ;0)
DeleteI have a wide array of dotting tools.....i still keep a toothpick and a straight pin with them to make super fine dots. Sometimes you just don't need the fancy tools.
ReplyDeleteLooks great!!
Thanks Melissa!!
DeleteI see you followed our requests and jumped on the nail art bandwagon. I really like how this turned out! I'm not a fan of hearts and pinks so I didn't do any nail art for this Valentine's day. Instead I just wore Orly Fowl Play, which is a very beautiful and sexy polish.
ReplyDeleteHeehee!! I think your input seriously ;0). Glad you like it! And yes, Fowl Play is very beautiful!
DeleteSuper adorable!
