Hi everyone!! I hope your week is going well.
Today I have Mermaid's Lagoon by Jesse's Girl to share with you. I've had this polish for months and it's my first time trying it. It's a beautiful turquoise (I think that's a good way to describe it) with gold shimmer. I love the look that the shimmer gives it on the nail. This color reminds me so much of summer.
The formula was a bit on the thick side, but manageable. With two coats the polish was fully opaque. I have to admit, I was pleasantly surprised with this polish. I didn't expect the formula to be so good, mostly because I'm not too familiar with this brand. For this mani, I used OPI Natural Nail base coat, two coats of Mermaid's Lagoon, and Seche Vite fast dry top coat.
For these pics, I used the flash because it was only way to get the true color and the shimmer.

Jesse's Girl can be found at most drug stores. I purchased mine at Rite Aid, but I've also seen them at CVS. I believe I paid between $2 and $3.
What do you guys think of this polish? Do you own any Jesse's Girl polishes? If so, what are your favorites?

DeleteI have heard of this brand because JulieG is one of my favorite gurus on youtube and this is part of her collection. I was thinking of getting some, but the colors don't seem that special to me. I like this one and Stiletto (a nude with shimmer), but the others are just meh.

ReplyDeleteI've never tried any polishes from this bran. But regardless, this shade is gorgeous! It kind of reminds me of China Glaze Turned up Turquoise.

DeleteI LOVE turquoise in the summer, and the fact that they added in a gold shimmer is perfection! I could totally see myself wearing this with a pop of orange (in my outfit) in the summertime. :)
