Hi everyone!! Happy Sunday. Besides church, I have nothing but rest planned for the day and I'm looking forward to it ;0). Hope you guys have a restful day in store as well.
I have a Del Sol polish to share with you today. This is a new brand to me. I actually got it from
Amanda. She picked it up for me on her trip to the Dominican Republic. Thanks Amanda ;0).
Del Sol polishes have two colors. One color indoors and another when in the sunlight. I was very excited to give this a try. I love the idea of having two polish colors without having to make a polish change.
The polish applied well. I decided to use two coats to get a good amount of glitter. I used Essie All in One Base and Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat. The original color was a clear base packed with silver microglitter.

When I went into the sunlight, the change of color was immediate. It changed to pink and then to a light red.

As you can see, there was still VNL after it turned to red. I'm hoping that if I use three coats in the future, it will make a difference. I really liked how quickly it changed and the color it changed to.
Have you tried any Del Sol polishes? What about another brand that changes color?
Both look so beautiful! :)
ReplyDeleteI really like them both.
Deletelooks very pretty and sparkly!
ReplyDeleteThanks Iris!!
DeleteI never tried Del Sol polishes but the UV-changing process is the same as Twin Color (in EU, the U.S. branch is Blaze, I think)...Quite funny to see ;-)
ReplyDeleteSoooo cool! Can't wait to try mine!
ReplyDeleteOoh, I have this one! I should be breaking it out more often now that we're venturing into the summer months!
ReplyDeleteYep! Take advantage of the sun while we have it.
DeleteI love Del Sol stuff. I was thinking holographic for my next mani...but now...hmmmm
ReplyDelete;0)
DeleteI actually have this one! I love the color change!
ReplyDeleteMe too!! It's really cool.
DeleteVery pretty! Nice color change! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! I like the change a lot.
DeleteOooh how fun! I have one polish from Del Sol. I forget the name, but it's a similar color to yours! :D
ReplyDeleteI have 4 Del Sols, and this is by far my favorite! I love how dramatic the change is from the clear indoors color to the red outdoors color. As for VNL, I think that's a side effect of Del Sol's formula. All of my DSs are really sheer, and it doesn't help the color change when you add more layers. For me, it seems to make them peel and chip off faster, which is the biggest drawback to DSs: They just don't last very long for me.
ReplyDeleteOh okay. Thanks for the info!
DeleteSo cool! I actually haven't tried mine yet but I hope layering helps without taking the color change away.
ReplyDeleteThanks again Amanda!!
DeleteVery lovely!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Ashley!
DeleteI so need to add Del Sol to my collection - I just love the color change - this post is insanely GORGEOUS!
