Hi fellow nail polish lovers!! Happy Pink Wednesday!
Today, I have a Mavala polish to share with you. It's my first time trying the brand. It comes from Switzerland and my polish buddies,
Saira and
Esther were telling me how great the brand was. I've seen it in only two stores in the city, one being Essentials, where I got mine. Initially, I wasn't going to purchase it because the bottles are so small ( .17 fl. oz.), and the cost is $6. However, this one was on sale for $3, so I felt much better about getting it.
Daring Pink is a bright fuschia shimmer. The formula was great and applied nice and evenly. The polish is very pigmented, so I could have used just one coat. However, I decided to use two because there was slight VNL with just the one. The polish also dried very quickly.
In the pics below, I used Essie All in One Base and two coats of Daring Pink.

I then decided to add Elixir Laccquers Supa Sugar Bee as an accent nail and added Seche Vite. Such a pretty combo!

I am loving Daring Pink!! This is definitely my kind of color and I love the shimmer in it. Supa Sugar Bee worked perfectly with it also.
Have you tried any Mavala polishes?
I have never seen this brand but the color is very pretty and it looks great on you

DeleteI've never even heard about this brand and then after I read this, a bunch of other Mavala swatches popped up on my Google reader. Go figure.

ReplyDeleteThanks Laura!!
DeleteThis is lovely Marisa, the only downside is they are expensive however they are free of pretty much all of the nasties (5 or 6 free I think ) and to me thats worth it. I like to think they've used good ingredients! I need to dig out my ELixir Lacquer you sent me again, but I'm scared I'll use it all!
ReplyDeleteWell thanks to you and Saira I gave it a try and I'm very happy. I'll just keep eyeing them for when they go on sale, lol.
DeleteThese are even more expensive here! But I do love the color on you! And the accent nail makes it even better.
ReplyDeleteWow!! A lot for such a little bottle. Thanks hon. Glad you like it!
