Hi everyone!! Happy Friday ;0).
Today I'm sharing another polish that I picked up the day after Christmas. This was my first Icing polish purchase. I actually picked up two glitters, but I'll share the second one with you tomorrow. There was a sale (buy one, get one half off), so of course I couldn't pass that up ;0).
Glamorous is a clear base with silver and holographic glitter. I really like it a lot, it's packed with such beautiful glitter goodness. My only problem was with application. Not because of the formula, but because of the bottle. Here's why:
I tried re-screwing the cap and turning it again, but there was no fixing this one. I ended up applying the polish using the stem without the cap. Very interesting experience. Without the cap, it was tough to control, but because it's so pretty, I'm willing to deal with it. In the pics below, I used 2 coats of Glamorous with no base or top coat.

I plan to use this one for layering. Do you have Glamorous? What do you think of this glitter?
I love glitters, don't feel guilty about buying too much glitter polish, I love this one. I have had this happen to me too with a couple of the Avon polishes very annoying.
ReplyDeleteReally!!? The only other time it happened to me was with my OPI Natural Nail base coat, but I was always able to screw it back on.
DeleteI love glitters too ;0)
looks very pretty. Can't you gluw the cap?
ReplyDeleteThanks Shannara!! I didn't think of that. I'll try to see if it works.
DeletePity about the bottle but the polish is amazing, huge amount of glitter there looks fab!
ReplyDeleteThanks Holly!! I'm going to make it work, lol.
DeleteOh the glitters! I wish I was more open to them because every company is producing some really pretty glitter polishes, including this one. The removal though makes my stomach turn.
ReplyDeleteI know! I hate removal too, which is why I don't go for the chunkier glitters. I don't even want to experience that nightmare.
DeleteThis is such a pretty glitter combo! I am so sorry to see that the cap was broken. I went to my local Icing an the ones they had weren't as pretty as the ones I've been seeing lately in the blogger world, I have to keep checking just in case I get lucky.
ReplyDeleteThanks Nory!! I hope you're able to find some nice ones.
DeleteI love glitter polishes and this one is great! The only Icing color I have is Witches Brew, but I want to go back and get more. They do have some pretty great colors. That sucks about the cap though! I'd be bummed if that happened to me.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I wasn't happy about the cap, but I'm making it work, lol.
DeleteVery beautiful! Reminds me a bit of NOPI Make A Comet-ment. I don't have any Icing polishes but I've been meaning to try them, especially the new magnetic ones! That sucks about the cap though, what a pain. :-/
ReplyDeleteHmmm... I don't have that NOPI. I forgot Icing was coming out with magnetics as well. I hope they're good.
DeleteMe too ;0).
ReplyDeleteI love this one!
ReplyDeleteThanks Lyds ;0)
DeleteYou could have taken it back and exchanged it. It happens all the time though.. I have heard some people prefer the caps to come off for easier storage. but its still pretty
ReplyDeleteThe mall was an hour away. But I made it work ;0).
DeleteGorgeous! This would be a beautiful layering polish.
ReplyDeleteThanks hon!! That's what I plan to do with it. Lots and lots of layering ;0).
DeleteThis one looks gorgeous! It's going to look great layered over other polishes too!
ReplyDeleteThanks hon!
DeleteI've had this one since about last July, and it is still untried. *hands head in shame*
ReplyDeleteLol!! Hopefully, you give it a try soon. There's just too much polish.
DeleteOh no! So sorry about the cap :( The color does look lovely though :)
