Hi everyone!!! I know, a second post for the day. I just couldn't wait to share this one with you guys. I stalked so many stores in search of Whimsical like I'm sure many of you have as well. I finally got my hands on it on Saturday and was so excited!!!
I am soooo in love with this polish. It is a light blue base with pink and blue hexagon glitter and blue microglitter. Application was super easy. The formula was just perfect. It is very sheer though, so it would take quite a few coats to become opaque (not sure how many). I do wish that there was more of the micro glitter in this polish because the larger glitter is a bit sparse. But that does not take away my love for Whimsical.
I decided to layer it over
Alexandra's "Hot" Gray. I've seen it layered over many blues, and they look awesome, but I wanted to try something different. Mix it up a little bit, lol. I thought a light gray would be a good choice.
In these pics, I used OPI Natural Nail Base Coat, two coats of Alexandra's "Hot" Gray, 2 coats of Whimsical, and Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat. Here is the result:

I want this polish so badly! One, because I refuse to pay $18 for the Deborah Lippman and second because well, it's just stunning ;). But I can't find it anywhere :(

I like that you used a grey base. Most swatches I've seen are with blue, but the grey really makes it so much trendier and less "it's a boy!"

ReplyDeleteWow this is gorgeous and you did a gorgeous layering with it. I really like the sparse glitter since it is large. It almost looks like a little party on your nails! This looks like it might be a hard one to find... probably one I shouldn't get my heart set on finding, huh! :)

ReplyDeleteOh my god this is so cute!!! I love the color and the little glitter pieces :3 At first i thought it came out of the bottle that color, so I'm sadden that it isn't as opaque. But I think you chose such a great underlay to trick me into thinking that ^_~
