Nail Art Fail, sort of...

Hi fellow nail polish lovers!! Happy Saturday!

When I was wearing Promise Me, I wanted to do a tape manicure, that had a gradient effect going from pink to purple.  So I decided to tape off my nail and add Wet n Wild Bite the Bullet.  After the polish dried, I taped off the nail again and added NOPI I'm a Belieber.  I topped it off with Seche Vite.  Here's how it turned out:

This was not what I expected, but I kept the mani just because I was too tired to change it.  I posted it as a fail on Instagram and @kellytattoo suggested adding Fairy Dust.  I didn't have that polish (at the time), so I decided to add my go to shimmer polish, Pure Pearlfection.

I feel like Pure Pearlfection makes everything better!  Though it still wasn't my original idea, I loved the mani much more after adding it.

After another day of wearing this mani, I decided to experiment with my new striping tape that I got on eBay over a month ago.  I used the purple to stripe.  It takes a bit of getting used to, but I really liked the result.

I really liked this look with the striping tape and I'm looking forward to experimenting with it more.
