Twinsie Tuesday - Animal Inspired

Hi everyone!!

This Tuesday, our job was to do animal inspired manicures.  At first, I was going to be lazy and just choose a polish that had something related to animals in the name.  Then I thought that I should challenge myself, so I looked through my pics of manicure inspiration (don't act like you don't have pics too, lol) and found a mani that I saw on Nails in Nippon a long time ago with freehanded tiger print.

I started with Sally Hansen Diamond Strength as my base.  I used one coat of Orly Au Champagne and then did a gradient with Avon Tangtastic.  I sponged a small amount of black (Nicka K Noir) at the tip of the nails.  I then used Milani Nail Art Black Sketch, which is a skinny nail art brush, to create the stripes on my nails.  I topped everything off with a coat of Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat.

I really liked the way this turned out, especially since this was my first attempt at something like this.  I just wish that Tangtastic showed up more orange.  I really need to keep trying at this nail art thing.  It's so much fun!
