Just an update about the blog. In case you haven't noticed, I added a "Swatches" page, so if you need to check out a specific polish, it makes it much easier to find. Secondly, I removed the word verification on the comments. I realized that it was a pain and unnecessary since I approve comments anyway. So it should be less time consuming if you'd like to post a comment.
On to the polish! I have one of the Finger Paints flakies to share with you. When there was such a huge buzz about these flakies, I stalked my Sally's at least twice a week. Every time I went they either didn't have any or only had one left. I took Motley and was hoping to find Twisted eventually, but that never happened. I'm really happy I got Motley though, it was one of my favorites of the bunch.
Motley is a clear base with blue and green flakies. The only other flakies I have in my stash is Shine of the Times, so it was a welcomed change. Motley has just the right amount of flakies. It's not too dense, so it doesn't totally take over the manicure. However, you still get a great amount in just one coat.
Below are pics of Motley over Essie Bobbing for Baubles:

I love this polish!! What a great way to spruce up a mani.
Were you able to grab anything from this collection? What do you think of Motley?
Super gorgeous!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks hon!
DeleteI love these flakies, I was lucky to get Asylum and Flashy in a swap but have yet to try them, this one is lovely and looks great over the blue :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Joanne! Can't wait to see yours ;0).
DeleteSuch a gorgeous flakie! It definitely gives an extra oomph to any mani. Yay for sleeping in on Monday ;)
ReplyDeleteI definitely agree! And yes, I'm looking forward to it ;0).
DeleteI had an opportunity to get all five but I only got the ones I liked. I have Twisted, Motley, and Flashy!
ReplyDeleteLucky you!! Twisted is really pretty from what I've seen.
DeleteI love it!
ReplyDeleteThanks Minnie! Me too ;0)
DeleteYou're right, this is much more subtle of a flakie than SotT and I really like that about it! Looks fantastic over those deep, navy blues.
ReplyDeleteYes, I really love it over deep blues. I tried it over a lighter shade, but the flakies don't really show up.
DeleteOh man, so pretty! Every time I go and see if the Finger Paints flakies are in stock, they aren't. :/
ReplyDeleteYep, I got lucky and that was with only one, lol.
DeleteSo pretty! It looks really great over that base.
ReplyDeleteThanks Laura ;0).
DeleteReally pretty mani and the flakies look perfect on top of the dark blue. I didn't get any of those flakies :(
ReplyDeleteThanks Adri!! Yeah, they're scarce everywhere.
DeleteThis is amazing! And woohoo to having tomorrow off!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Saira ;0).
DeleteThis is beautiful! Such a lovely color!
ReplyDeleteThanks Traci ;0).
DeleteThose flakes look gorgeous both over Bobbing for Baubles and over Russian Navy. I love flakes but I tend to forget to use them :D
ReplyDeleteThanks hon! So glad you like it. I forget sometimes too, but I usually remember when I don't want to take a polish off yet, but want a change.
DeleteLove! I got these flakies 1/1/12 and haven't used any yet *face palm*
ReplyDeleteLOL!! I know how that is. You only have 10 fingers ;0).
DeleteThis is one of my favorites too! If only we had access to these over here. I'm glad you snagged at least one!
ReplyDeleteLooks gorgeous!!!
