Hi everyone!!! This is going to be a long post with lots of pics, but I really wanted to share with you my time in Vegas.
First, for Pink Wednesday, I'd like to share the mani that I wore on my trip. I decided to try Sally Hansen Salon Effects for the first time because I figured it would be good way to have a cute mani and hopefully, I wouldn't have to worry about chipping. Salon Effects are supposed to last 9 days. So, I applied Pink-A-Dot, a white with pink polka dots that I got on clearance from Target for $5 (it usually retails for $9.99).

Application of the Salon Effects, was a bit tedious. The strips come with a buffer and small orange stick. You are supposed to buff your nails first and ensure you have a nice clean surface. After matching the correct sizes for each nail, you have to remove the front and back layers and stick it on the nail. Then, you bring the extra over the tip of the nail and file the excess off.
As you can see, I was able to do well on my left hand. My right hand, well we won't even go there, smh. It was presentable though, so I was able to keep it on.
I was pleasantly surprised with how well the Salon Effects lasted. Here is a pic on the fourth day!

Still looks great, no? |
I did have a small chip on two of my nails on the right hand, but I was able to file those down to hide them. Honestly, I think it had to do with the difficulty I had applying them.
I was so in love with this mani! It was super cute and the perfect mani while away. Removal wasn't bad either, it came off with regular polish remover.
Now to the actual trip! Here is a view of the Eiffel Tower at the Paris Hotel where we stayed.
 |
Isn't it pretty? |
You can actually take a ride up the Eiffel Tower for a view of the city, which we did of course ;0).
 |
A view of the strip from the top of the Tower. |
The Bellagio was right across the street from us, so we made sure we got to see the water show. I've seen clips of it on TV, but there's nothing like seeing it in person. It was like the water was dancing to the music. Amazing!!

This pic does it no justice! |
We did lots of sightseeing with our daughter! |
Some pics from the Shark Reef Aquarium in the Mandalay Bay Hotel. Such a great aquarium. |
 |
We also visited the zoo. Very interesting experience, lol. |
I may have mentioned in the past that I'm a big foodie, so I definitely had fun eating lots of food. Maybe too much food, smh. Here are just two of the things that leave fond memories for me ;0). |
Veggie Burger from The Sugar Factory with a side of onion rings. The burger had olive mayo, feta cheese (I think), and fried onions. So good!!!! |
 |
Salmon over leek quinoa from Bon Ami Gabi. Mmmm.... |
I'm hungry just thinking about this food.
My all time favorite place to visit was The Sugar Factory, which was the most awesome candy shop/restaurant. I am not big on candy, but I do have a big sweet tooth and I love desserts.
 |
Beautiful cupcakes! Red velvet, chocolate, lemon, oh my! |
 |
Gelato |

This was my breakfast on the last day. Nutella chocolate chip pancakes!!!! |
They had some of the best shakes ever!! I had about two a day, lol.

Let's just say, I'll be watching what goes into my mouth and probably doing some extra exercise these next few weeks.
Of course, my trip wouldn't be complete without getting nail polish. Here are the polishes I picked up:
 |
Cosmetic Arts Pink, Coral, and Dark Purple (first time getting this brand, there were no names on them), Maybelline Color Show Denim Dash and Pinkalicious, Island Girl Mahalo Dream (my first from this brand), Orly Fowl Play, Ulta Red Carpet Red and Sweetheart Pink, Ulta OPI Exclusives The Flowers Are Blue-Ming! and Pack Your Booty Shorts, China Glaze Flirty Tankini and Electric Beat.
Thanks to my hubby for this pic of my beauties against the view from our room ;0). |
I got the Cosmetic Arts from Ross (my first time visiting that store), the Maybelline from Walgreen's, Island Girl from ABC Stores, and the Orly, Ulta, OPI, and China Glaze from Ulta. Yep, I finally got to visit Ulta and I was in nail polish heaven, heehee!
When I took the pic, I forgot that I also picked up a few polishes from H&M:
And I returned home to some awesome nail mail!
 |
The New Cult Nails collection, Zoya Pinterest Trio, my first Funky Nails polish (Vibrant), Lilacquer Encantado and Bakenko, and Lacquer Convention Galinda.
Needless to say, I was a bit overwhelmed by all my new polishes and didn't even know where to start. I'm still figuring that out.
I had an awesome time and am still very tired because of the time difference, but it was a great experience and it's good to be back to share with you all, as well as catch up on your posts.
If you made it through all of this, thanks so much for reading!! |
