Our challenge this Twinsie Tuesday was to create a half moon manicure using a pastel and a neon. Notice, I used the term "challenge." To be honest, I was not looking forward to this one. I personally am not a fan of half moon manicures. I just don't get the appeal of half a circle on your nail. I have seen a handful that I've liked, but it's just not for me. Anyhoo, that's one of the beauties of Twinsie Tuesday, it gets you out of your comfort zone.
I decided to go with Orly Frolic, one of my very few neons, and Revlon Lily, one of my favorite pastels. I did a layer of Frolic (it's a one coater) and because it dries extremely quickly, I waited maybe 5 minutes, if that much, before placing reinforcements at the base of the nail. I then added two coats of Lily and removed the reinforcements. Finally, I added a coat of Out the Door Top Coat (a quick dry).
