Twinsie Tuesday - Copycat Mani Take 2!!

Hi everyone!! Hope your week is off to a good start! I was off yesterday and I'm off today also because it's my birthday and I refuse to ever work on my birthday. No plans to do anything, just relax. That's the way I like it ;0).

This week's Twinsie Tuesday challenge is for us to copy one of our twinsies. I had to copy Rachel and I have to admit, I had a mini panic attack. Rachel does the most amazing nail art and very well!! So after I relaxed a little, I searched her blog for something I thought I could replicate. I saw this one not too long ago and thought maybe this is something I could try.

You can see the details of Rachel's mani in the link above. For my manicure, I started with two coats of Revlon Gray Suede as a base. I then created the spots with OPI Bronzed to Perfection and used a dotting tool for the black with Nicka K Noir. I then free handed the brown over it with Aldo Chocolate Factory. I finished the mani off with Beauty Secrets top coat.

While the mani came out pretty close, Rachel's was much neater. I ended getting too close to the cuticle with the brown, so I tried to cover it up with my watermark :-/. It still turned out to be a really cool look though.
